The first two parts below don't have much to do with the actual book， just documenting my relationship with this particular piece of work。 （lmao）***I bought the Chinese translated version of this superbly awesome collection of recipes （ONE PIECE PIRATE RECIPES 海の一流料理人 サンジの満腹ごはん）， and since it is essentially a cookbook aka one of the types of "book" I consider "actual book"， I'm adding it to my shelf on Goodreads。I felt a pang of disappointment towards myself （lmao）， cuz apparently this book The first two parts below don't have much to do with the actual book， just documenting my relationship with this particular piece of work。 （lmao）***I bought the Chinese translated version of this superbly awesome collection of recipes （ONE PIECE PIRATE RECIPES 海の一流料理人 サンジの満腹ごはん）， and since it is essentially a cookbook aka one of the types of "book" I consider "actual book"， I'm adding it to my shelf on Goodreads。I felt a pang of disappointment towards myself （lmao）， cuz apparently this book has been translated and officially published in Chinese since 2013/08/15 （ISBN 978-986-332-775-2）， and my copy is actually the 6th print！ So it really is quite popular on a level！ Nonetheless I'm glad that I came across the Japanese version that was left unsealed so I can view the content first; that was what prompt me to look for an edition I'd have no reading obstacles lol。*** The book is a legit cookbook; it includes 43 recipes， with actual photos of the dish and photos of steps of preparations， along with illustration by the mangaka Eiichiro Oda （尾田栄一郎）; it really is a satisfying treat！ Only the last 3 recipes are not taken from the manga; the rest of the dish were all referenced or shown in the series， and in each recipe there's a clear label as to where （as in which chapter of what volume） you can find the specific dish。 Personally， I don't think you have to be an avid fan of the manga to appreciate it; I myself only know the most basic stuff about the series （cuz let's face it; this universe is frankly quite huge） and I have no problem loving it; it is a fun way to bring the series to different readers， a smart way， too， cuz I'm pretty sure EVERYONE who has the slightest idea about the series had been waiting for a Sanji's cookbook ever since the beginning of the franchise！ Well played！ 。。。more
